AMX is great company with enourmous potential. Whether we like it or not this unrest will affect the SP in coming weeks.
Poor country is magnet for civil unrest. If goverment changes, it brings new problem. I don't think any new goverment don't want gold mines. Sure they do! But what will happen is gold miners would have to re-negotiate their position with new politicians.
Politicians from poor country are usually corrupt. Gold miner would have to bribe few politicians to get things done. If unrest worsen, fingers will easily be pointed to rich gold miners by general public as well. They will end up demanding more compensation and royalty.
I hope it is only few army boys giving troubles and will be locked up soon and stability will return. Since prime minister has already changed and students are involved, it appears trouble is deep.
