marmaduke: This is a stock chat board and not a political one. However, sometimes politics do interfere with the developments of stocks, obviously.
IMHO, the Syrian situation cannot be compared to what is happening in Libya. I do not foresee a larger scale "civil war" situation, even though the current and increasing unrest is certainly "not looking too good". To my knowledge, however, the foreign oil companies operating in Syria are still all operating and IF the situation will not deteriorate further, I would like to assume that the two drills will in fact take place in the second half of 2011, i.e. the first one coming up real soon -- foreseen to spud during July!
