Knowing that the Dick Smith business is having its life support turned off in 8 weeks I wouldn't touch the homebrand items when they clear them because they will have no local guarantee from within Australia. Good luck trying to find the manufacturer that will honour a guarantee on the homebrand stuff. On this basis I wouldn't pay the discounted sale price the stores offer rather would offer 5c in the $ knowing full well they probably wouldn't take it.
As for the branded items, its been clear for a while that many latest models are not available in the DS stores so people can look forward to buying out of date items.
Given the above Im gonna make this my last DSH post as I am tired of seeing crazy ideas as the headline for this thread that is really a throw away line lacking in retail industry awareness.
