Woodside has gotten rich from the same area HDR is now in. Africa is a core focus area for Woodside which has interests across the continent's north, west and east. Woodside has built an exploration and production portfolio in Kenya, Libya, Algeria, the Canary Islands, Mauritania, Sierra Leone and Liberia and also has acreage in Iraq. These frontier areas have significant potential, mostly no oil and gas production and are under-explored. Hardman as has also diversified into two or three parts (not sure of future plans) of Africa now and has added turf in South America and all it needs is something in Asia and you have your next WPL.
