Do you read the wiki link I provided? The whole reason we know all this is because of the fossil evidence. I know the wiki article it is long and complex, but it explains most of it.

All scientists that study human evolution know all this stuff, they just use complex language to hide it because it is not safe for them to talk about it in public. If I worked in this area I wouldn’t talk about it either.
