ah the often mentioned autobot trading. Ok heres the deal its either shorters when u short a stock it involves a very small amount its leveraged but the likes of opes margin lenders did this comsec, etrade do etc they have to actually buy or loan the stock ( which requires an on market transfer) so looks like theres quite a few shorting it or
Brokers can force down a stock price by selling shares to themsleves its all legit the tactic is used by them acting on behalf of themselves or a client who wants cheap shares now if u keep hitting a lower price by selling small amounts whats going to happen, thats right youre going to hit peoples stop loss orders, all the way down they pick up shares from stop losses being hit and whola u get cheap stock while forcing out all those automatic sell orders at each price level
ASX approves as it gets a $$$ on every trade. All ican suggest is if u see autobot trading going on the price is probably steadily falling either wait till late in the day to buy or hold off until the chart indicators indicate a buy , this type of activity can go on for weeks just gotta pick when the autobots are finished buy and just hold till it rises back up
