Your level of understanding of ASM is about as good as the ABC reporters, which is to say near zero! That reporter was clearly looking for some attention grabbing headlines using what is a standard statement of risk in any audit as some sort of smoking gun!

You will find the statement "The continuing viability of the group and its ability to meet its debts and commitments as they fall due are dependent on the group [raising more capital, sourcing new customers, and qualifying for financial support]" or similar in any audit report for a pre revenue company, of which the ASX has 100's.

As your suggestion of a trading halt to present a rebuttal to a media report, especially one so poorly crafted, you have to be taking the p? Half the ASX would be in a trading halt on a weekly basis if that was the usual reaction!
