Coverage is great though cost and performance is crudd unless you have a corporate plan with them.
The growth is WiMax, the US co's are spending big on WiMax alongside their other technologies.
It's niche now though its a better platform to deliver multimedia which is what everybody wants. Just look at YouTube. Do a costing how much it would cost to download a small vid on the Nextg network and then you might change your mind.
