UKD had a positive announcement and was up nicelly today.
Cam Creek Diamondiferous Lamproite Pipe Indicative Size Increase by 6 times Drilling To Commence Newly acquired aeromagnetic data at the Ellendale South Project indicates the Cam Creek lamproite pipe may be much larger than was originally reported (3.5 hectares based upon historic data). New aeromagnetic data and field mapping now indicates that Cam Creek is 21 hectares a 500% increase in size.
This size increase has significantly upgraded the Cam Creek pipe as an exploration target and a drilling program is now planned to start there in the next few weeks. Previous sampling has yielded 35 microdiamonds per 100kg (normalised). This compares favourably with the nearby diamond mine at the Ellendale 9 pipe which has previously reported microdiamond counts of 25 microdiamonds per 100kg.
A forthcoming aircore drilling program will aim to delineate the extent and nature of the pipe and obtain an indication of tonnages of the more prospective tuff facies. Microdiamond counts will also be done on the drill chips to delineate areas of potentially higher diamond grade.
United Kimberley Diamonds NL is also pleased to announce that all seven of the core tenements within the Ellendale South project were recently granted (totaling 1,353km2) including E04/1429 on which the Cam Creek lamproite is situated.
