i don't know why any of you would own the ordinary shares when you can buy the hybrids at 40cents in the dollar. They are senior to ordinary so have to be paid out in full (or more in the case of a takeover) before ordinary get 1cent. put another way. the scenario implied by the hybrids trading at 40c in the dollar should have the ordinary shares trading in the low single digits of cents per share.
