yeah that link is to a site that you need to pay for, but I think the last line (at least of the abstract) that big-lebowski refers to reads as follows "The current inspection requires four days for completion and will be reduced to five minutes by CVM. The system has been installed and should result in CVM being approved as an alternate means of compliance (AMOC)."
Four days reduced to five minutes - ouch! Just imagine these sensors strategically placed over an aircraft and the reduction in non-flying (non-revenue producing)hangar-time a plane would see.
