    looking at world oil reserves, ethanol appears to be a "must implementation".

    I was recently corrected about my assesment of oil reserves, the counter argument was that even Oz has plenty of oil - and heaps of it still plugged up.

    Yes, thats correct. But if it was feasable to pump this oil, it would not have been plugged. The cost of pumping and refining oil which is contained in large areas within small pockets, would put your petrol price to astronomical levels.

    I believe that whether we are for or against ethanol blended fuel, is not the question. The question is why have we not been blending petrol with 10% ethanol for the last 20 years, like the US and most of Europe.

    Therefore I don't see this as a punt, only a when will it happen - not if it will happen.

    How well ico will do in this, who knows. I hold a small position and am not selling for the foreseeable future.
