Some serious interest today both sp (now up 15%)and volume (over 2m shares traded by midday).

I don't think this is just because the DFS will be released in the next few days or so either. I expect it to relate to a possible announcement concerning discussions with a third party that gives more certainty surrounding project financing. (e.g. Off-take agreement, forward sale/debt agreement, partner). Although the timeframe for getting project financing together is expected to be well into 2011, if companies are knocking at Tectonic's door to partake in Phillip's River (as reported) it may all happen quicker than anticipated.

If the announcement is not ready for release........expect a trading halt very soon. Volume and price increase will have the ASX sending the usual please explain directive.

The only other explanation for the movement at this point in time would be a strong broker recomendation.

I don't have any specific new information today to support my comments. It is speculative and based only on comments made in ASX releases, the AGM and an email from Steve which was encouraging and confirmed third parties were showing interest in the project.
