At the end of the day ...would Washington really risk a market meltdown based on the issues at hand. They have no alternative but to forge out some deal . Anything than precipitate a default. Thats really inconceivable. Obama should, if that were to happen just resign and retire to Bermuda to watch financial chaos. Trouble is he wouldnt get paid any pension.
As the Fed payments stop after a week or two people would go on rampage.
Police not getting paid ,military not getting pain . No one. Tax Office etc etc. No income in. Freeze on US assessts.
Can you imagine the effect on EU, China watches their US bonds evaporate Yikes.
