The uranium story should gather momentum for BHP from 2006 into 2007.
Meanwhile, spot iron ore prices remain above 2005 contract prices and analysts are still expecting 10% to 15% price rise for 2006 contract prices.
Coal prices for 2006 contracts appear to weaken, due to Xstrata's recent settlement at lower prices, but the 120% price rise in 2005 was spectacular. Any fall in price for BHP/RIO might be offset by higher volumes to be shipped. Lower A$ against US$ helps EPS.
