    dontfollow, I find economic trends just as interesting, sorry for not replying to that section of your post.

    I deal with long range growth/decline cycles in the US economy and study the inflationary trend and the causes of it.

    Basically the economic perspective you pointed out there is a long run trend that will last many years, when I say the XJO will fall, the time frame for this fall is around 685 trading days - about 3 years max and it can only do that if in 3 years time the All Ords is at exactly the same price as the recent peak. - The bear market is likely to be much short as the market will fall - not go sideways.

    Its interesting to note the cycles I had on the Dow Jones.

    Jan 2000, March 2003, April 2006.

    Frist cycle regulated a slowing economic preformance in the US, the March hit regulated the economic growth and by jingo by ge, all we have heard after the April hit was slowing economic growth and rising rates.
