we did have a little discussion a while ago about tv advertising in downturns -noomxx i think had some pretty good numbers
- I looked and it seems the market nearly always over estimated the impact - perhaps some of that impact to bottom line in the past had been moderated by cuts in broadcast fees from Federal government - I am not sure about if that could be counted on now with the new govt, although there was talk of it again but might have been while others were still in
The payments from Google , Facebook et al have certainly been a boost, but as i said in another post are a bandaid for a few years or so at a guess really - they need to invest those proceeds to ensure they have news that is in demand , otherwise leakage to those other platforms will continue unabated and they wont be renumerated to the same extent, if at all
