lev, I agree with you on this point, I don't think it is Kerry stoke play the game, ( completely unnecessary for him specifically considering his age).seven don't pay dividends for 6 years, leave it very unattractive for long term investors, no price appreciation or even very limited price movement usually, make it very unattractive for short term investors or traders. as I said only 9 millions free cashflow for these 2 years, seven simply have no money to pay dividends or buy back aggressively ( of course not borrowing money for these). response your another post, yes it's net debt down from 700 millions to 250 millions for 6 years, but my rough estimate asset sales around 150-200 million, 130 million for prime, net free cash flow for 6 years about370-420 million, 60- 70 million pre year, not that impressive.if not including 2 years Covid period, still less than 100 million pre year , at cost of no dividends for shareholders for six long years, in Australia market with a traditional to pay dividends always ( not like US market, some growth company never pay dividends, like Berkshire, amazon), tell me the reason why people should still hold it? regarding digital of seven, I not think it is a game changer, it is "a must", because it is future, every media company will have or already have digital platforms, otherwise you just out of business sooner or later.
seven, nine , now all become very ordinary businesses with no moat ( used to protect by tv license), so at the end it is all about who can get own piece of cake with cost under control, it' s all about efficiency, not technology.
seven still quite profitable under normal economic circumstances, but hard to say in current high interest environment, revenue decline with cost up.
