Broadcaster tax scrapping is a prelude to ABC and SBS privatization.
ABCand SBS need to be privatized and trade sold to NEC or if allowed the NEC/ ITV entity or NEC/ Paramount Global entity if either ITV or Paramount Global are allowed to buy NEC (Paramount Global may soon be pulling the plug on Channel TEN down in Australia and SWM is almost insolvent propped up by Stokes family debt funding and rights give aways).
ABC and SBS would be better off being sold to NEC even in NEC's present form or the ITV/ NEC consortium or Paramount Global/ NEC consortium.
Paramount Global and NEC are rumored to be in the running to takeover Sky Racing and also WIN TV from Bruce Gordon.
NEC might be able to buy the SWM's West Australian from the under siege Stokes family.
Australia might get more serious about privatizations such as selling ABC and SBS to NEC, AirServicesAustralia to Downer Group, NBN Co to Telstra and Government defense contracting to Downer Group.
