Why should the company mention anything? Or do shareholders require a running commentary on the 1001 things that need to be put in place before final details of the restructuring can be announced?
Investment thesis is pretty straightforward: 2 good businesses with growth potential, soon to overshadow the poor business. Spin-off coming soon = market clarity and management focus. Debt to be repaid by IPO suckers who will be sold a great story on the Security side. Loser CEO cast to one side and being replaced by a couple of very experienced movers and shakers. Disappointed speculators institutions 'investors' (who may or may not have heard of a guy whose name they probably spell as "Warren Buffet") still bailing out, so share price way below expected restructure value.
