BoB, there are diversions around the 2 blockages at RoD. You can walk all the way into the old boiler chamber(4-500m), see the remnants of the old headframe and shaft and 2 large boilers amongst other artefacts. Along the way you can see in the roof where the old timers had chased veins, some only a few feet and others that disappear into the darkness. It's a fascinating walk and you can feel history oozing out of the walls. The amount of arseno pyrite( a major gold indicator according to Ari who was there too) visible in the walls made me think the Rose had plenty to offer.
