Dont forget Lynas only remains in any starlight due to its LAMP extraction plant in Malaysia that struggles with the Malaysian government forcing it to jump through hoops to maintain operation. It is violently opposed there by many publicly and politically and things are shaky at best with shorter term operation licenses approved. All indebted to Japan lenders to keep operating as otherwise it would have been bankrupt by now. If they lose that. They wont be much competition at all and it opens up a huge sector on which GGG steps in.
Texas will be HREs. Mainly for defense as price wise they surely ant keep up with China and even still needing heavy subsidy.
The only real option outside China is to focus on the lowest cost, lowest capex offering high IRR. 75% plus all of these is offered by only one on the ASX according to GGGs company announcements. GGG has to be a contender to undercut all this and maybe even the Chinese in time themselves.
All that aside. GGG is focused on the European supply sector. Which seems free and ripe for the picking. So all the rest wouldnt matter much anyway I dont think as GGG would likely have its production mopped up there.
