In regard to basis for the appeal, don't know the exact reasons, but IMO the reasons will be extensive. By that I mean that SMM's lawyers will look at every possible way of challenging the High Court ruling not just the easy options.

In regard to why it was agreed to be heard, I have my own ideas on this but it may be that whoever gave permission for the Appeal thought that they (SMM) will have little chance of winning it so why not bring it on.

I too am looking forward to the Appeal date and IMO it will be around the middle of February.
Please note it is my understanding that the Court system in S.I. shuts down between December 24 and January 14th this year so nothing will be announced until after that date.

I also see that by the AVQ announcement of 30 December 2014 that there will be 3 Appeals Court Commonwealth judges. So it will not be a single Judge as someone on here argued before but at least one will be from another Commonwealth country such as Australia and a majority will be needed for SMM to win the case (i.e. 2 out of 3).

I will try to find out more from other sources but can't promise anything soon.
I also see that today the market is getting smashed but our SP is standing up quite well at the moment.
