False statements by higher management, missed deadlines and a cavalier attitude don't inspire any confidence.
And in terms of granting permits based on "substantial works" I would imagine the government has quite a bit wiggle room. Why would they deny a mining company if they actually want the mine to go ahead? They clearly don't want U mines so they are likely to take a more critical view here, and no Vimy won't decide what counts as "substantial" that's just ridiculous.
Really liked this company and its prospects but regardless of the permits coming through, I am not interested in holding shares in a company of which management just says all sorts of things without any backing or any explanation if it doesn't happen or not in the time frame as stated. Thrust worthy and on point communications are key. If they had provided that, I might have taken their word when they say there isn't a problem. Unfortunately what they say has proven pretty meaningless.
