Went to the GM yesterday and asked a lot of geology/exploration based questions mainly to RM and some to Mark Rodda (MR).
Audience of 1 apart from AZY/Computershare staff.
Venue is part of Computershare's office facilities and they were trying it out for this year's upcoming AGM. It is part of the package for being with Computershare and as such no extra cost to AZY.
As is usual for such meetings I seldom take notes or recordings. The result is recall is a bit hit and miss as well as paraphrasing what might have been said. DYOR and/or call the company.
Another thing I try to avoid is probable confidential issues. Visuals, ideas on PM 1,2 etc. Speculative - NEM, GGP sale procedures, how to proceed with Minyari etc. The latter were covered in D&D preso/video.
Focused on Geo 01 and Parklands.
Geo 01.MRE on track for later this month. Planned though still a lot of effort needed to tie it all together.
RM was very definite about the consistency of grade in holes and seemed to be very happy with progress from an exploration sense for Geo 01. I picked up positive vibes FWIW.
A major task has been to process and integrate the data from some 40 televiewer logs of the RC holes. This technology apparently gives down hole vision in RC holes which can be converted into valid data - structure, probably geotech, lithology, alteration, veining and perhaps other as well. Sounded like it was taxing the two staff members involved - hair tearing was used - maybe but forget what.
AZY have remapped the whole area but is currently considered intellectual property (IP) at the moment (MR comment). There was also some rock chip sampling done if I recall a vague comment from RM.
The structures visible in outcrop are consistent, in broad terms, with what is shaping up from drilling at Geo 01. Confidential so no detail given other than some vague comments.
Fold axes in lime green, bedding black.
I think the latest Google Earth image is at a slightly improved resolution with bedding trends and some folding more obvious.
Detail - blue box.
There is a hint the axial planar trends persist to the NE.
Soil geochemistry (-50 micron?) produced the anomalies at Geo01 and another smaller one on the outcrop just to the east (in yellow on the first image but not easy to see). South onto the Paterson project with IGO is soil anomaly AL05 which has yet to be followed up.
RM commented on good grade in a hole close to the 100%/IGO boundary.
I thought the Minyari granite (Red outlines first image) might "stope out" any southerly extension but RM says there is at least 2 Kms available.

Why did such a large anomaly get missed back in the 80's?
I don't know exactly when these rab (squares) and RC (triangles) holes were drilled. Definitely pre AZY, probably pre 2000 and perhaps late 70's early 80's. Could find out but had a computer glitch yesterday.
RM - shallow RAB only at what is now Geo 01; assay suite limited and detection limits relatively high; composite samples with no real idea of what might constitute an anomaly among the reasons they did not find the mineralisation.
Finding the main Minyari zone would likely take attention away from subtle to below detection geochem.
The observation that early RAB could miss something like this leads to exploration re-evaluations being needed for early work.

Stratigraphy at Minyari Dome?
Host Malu formation with mafic units interbedded. Lithogeochemistry has been applied to help sort out the stratigraphy and identify marker units. [Similar approach used at Winu].
The mafic units are not uncommon with RM mentioning their presence at Magnum and perhaps (?)Citadel. Less clear on how the units relate to Telfer other than in broad terms.

PARKLANDSI asked why was Parklands sampled last year. Did not get a totally satisfactory response from RM.
AZY, as part of the Wilki farmin, conducted a detail study of cover depth. Probably with other factors but don't recall what was said. These were compiled, presumably with all other data (drilling/geophysics/mapping/geochem) and became the zones which were prioritised for ultra fine soil sampling.
Why they began at what is now considered one of the best surface anomalies in the Paterson in 2023 was not answered to my satisfaction (confidentiality, and a sensitive partner are possible reasons why RM appeared to play cards close...my comment). The program is ongoing this year.
Part of the rationale for this geochem comes from the success AZY has had at Geo 01 where early Rab was not obviously effective even though there were two lines through the recent drill area.
The multi element component of the geochemistry and lag samples suggest there is a shallow bed rock source. The Telfer size of the anomaly plus grades auger well - my comments though just paraphrasing RM and announcements. Good Vibes.
A very detailed Heritage survey has recently been completed. When submitted, approved the process of planning drilling POWs can be progressed (RM paraphrased a lot).

Tetris - may rework the geophysics but on the back burner for now.
Out of time for much more.

Many thanks to RM and the rest for their time.
