Let's contextualize this a little bit. $54m NPAT (guidance) for first half 2023. Market cap was approx $750m when that news was out, and shares rallied almost 20% in the two days.
if we assume second half is the same, that means $104m for the FY profit, which would give a PE of approx 7 (when market cap was $750m, it's now almost $880m. So a PE of about 9.
NHC NPAT will be around $1.8b (with no debt). Market cap $4.5b.
This gives a PE ratio of just over 2.
its insane.
