Visually:
Logo, colour pallet, brand tone, body font, button styles, image treatments are almost identical. Main difference I see is Sezzle use Illustrations Z1P use photo imagery. Humm / Afterpay all have very different website structures and layouts. This is too close.
Timing:
Strange we have 360 days a year and it happens to drop today.
Theory:
1. Start the foundation for Sezzle to be a future acquisition into US market. Merging of brands wont be as difficult to rebrand if the identity is similar
2. Good marketing by Sezzle to leverage today to pump their brand into the spotlight.
3. They want to be sued
