I specifically referred to tools not getting a full service and check over at base before being shipped to site not the calibrations and pre-run checks that get done at site. The latter is easily checked by The Wellsite Geologist and is something I always did pre run.
I can recall numerous occasions when I've had tools turn up to a rig with out of date shop calibrations.....a sure sign that the tools were rushed to a job without getting a full service in the shop in between jobs.
