This sounds to me like a product launch in the UK. Simble has previously indicated that there will be another push in the UK.
Looking at the individual parties involved:
- DCC refers to the Data Communications Company which manages and provides the communications infrastructure for smart meters in the UK. By 2020 over 50 million smart meters are meant to be fitted across all of the UK.
- Utiligroup offers SaaS services to most utility providers in the UK. Utiligroup was bought by Accel-KKR, one of the largest private equity firms in the world, in 2017 for £100m.
