Upcoming Quarterly - Lump Sales will be key

So while we wait, any guesses on the numbers to come out of BCI's upcoming quarterly?

* MIN's Quarterly Shipment in M wmt's
* BCI's quarterly EDBITDA
* Av price obtained

Clearly the key will be the amount of higher grade Lump sales achieved for the quarter, however this is not usually reported as a specific item by BCI.

According to the Mt Gibson March quarterly, which was released this past week, the March Qu av Platts CFR price for 62% Fe fines to China was US$74 per dry metric tonne.

Both BCI's & MIN's last quarterlies inferred larger volumes of ore sales would be achieved in the March (& June) quarter (the Dec Qu they did 1.5mt), so with the slightly higher av io price than the Dec quarter, hopefully we shall be looking at something north of the March quarterly's $3.0m EBITDA.

Its clear that MIN have been undertaking a form of blending of the IV ores to obtain higher grades of the fines, so hopefully this will all translate to a higher EBITDA for BCI in the quarter.

Grade is obviously still king - this was an extract from the MGX quarterly of last week -
“The heavy structural discounting of lower grade ores, which continues to impact the financial performance of our current operations, and the corresponding lift in the premium for high grade ores underlines the substantial benefit we can expect when our high grade Koolan Island project commences sales." (Note - i hold MGX)

With the recent announcements regarding Kumina and Mardie Salt, i'll also be looking for updates in the Quarterly on other items expected, such as -
* Marble Bar - results from a first-pass RC drilling program
* Peak Hill - results from a helicopter-borne versatile time domain electromagnetic (“VTEM”) survey
