I'm a long-standing investor from before the stock listing on asx.
I agree that there are substantial and lucrative upsides to this mine - and its investment.
My concerns, which are likely shared by others, are of political nature. Will the minister approve the mine on a commercial and economic basis? Is there risk that outspoken local residents - and whether voter-bases in other related jurisdictions like Melbourne would be seen as using this as a voting point?
I note the recent arbitrary veto/block in NSW for Regis Resources mine near Blarney. This decision may not seem to be of sound policy, but the issues resonate with voters regardless.
Exciting times either way, and unfortunately its challenging to quantify the risks involved.
