I've looked at this company a few times and never quite found the desire to part with my hard earned for it and the issue revolves around the exchange rates and that the reporting is presented in $A although most revenue is recorded in almost everything but $A.
So, by way of example (and on the assumption I've got it right) a sale occurs for $A100 in April. Given the exchange rate is 72 US cents per $A, an invoice is raised for $US72. The account remains unpaid at 30th June, at which stage the exchange rates is 70 US cents per $A so the accounts would reflect (I think) a foreign exchange gain of $A2.86 for that year. Then, in July, the customer pays his bill at which time the exchange rate is 68 US cents per dollar. This causes the company to reflect a further foreign exchange gain of $A2.86 now in a new financial year. The ensuing six months will see amounts move into the foreign exchange account causing it to move up/or down. The accounts presented in December will reflect a value for foreign exchange gain or loss but some of it will belong to the current reported financial period and some will belong to a previous one. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact there's no other way to easily reflect the monies received for the sale as opposed to the monies measured as being receivable in the initial instance.
The problem is that getting a handle on "real" revenue movement from one period to another is not possible. So you have to rely on the directors notes to learn if revenue increased or decreased country by country.
Not the biggest issue an investor will ever face but could never fall in love with the idea that I can't compare two periods accounts and begin by calculating the top line growth.
