You realise that by stating cash is king, you have answered why the old CEO got a massive payout, simply put, because she steered the ship through Tanzanian waters and came away with the boatload of cash which is good for both short-term and long-term holders. For the amount we receive I think a substantial bonus is warranted.

The new CEO has hit it relatively lucky in terms of taking control of a company with a strong cash position and what appears to be abundant resources, hopefully they deliver for holders like the old one did.
