Great response from the company indeed. Very professional and they appear confident and excited from the product they have been rigorously testing .
What I could gather from this response and announcements.. is that they aren't going for a mass approach like ZIP who targeted millions of downloads ( as shown by their current aggressive sports ambassador campaign) ASAP but to risk resulting in only a handful of users retained LT or even ST. The biggest disadvantage of these mass approaches imo is how expensive it can be.. Multi million dollar campaigns (multiple ambassadors, networks, contractors, expenses etc) for potentially unsatisfactory results as they soon realise not enough revenue will be rolling in as expected . Likely the cash burn rate will go through the roof and additional CR will be inevitable.. (e.g NOR looks like they may soon be required to undertake another CR in coming quarters even after raising $8million recently...)
It appears WGL is confident in their current rollout strategy with the help from Ironsource and Degordian . Very efficient as they are confident to retain the high value target users that are targeted for the downloads (which could likely be filtered and recommended by our two partners based on their profile and demographics).
In saying that.. Still believe the anticipated numbers are significantly understated if the app is this disruptive. We will need to wait only a little longer to find out. It's been nearly a year anyway so a few more weeks won't hurt
