just one point, however, i don't think these guys are selling to lock in any profits. placements in alara have been 46m @ 23c, 84m @ 36c, and 31m @ 25c respectively. there have been some small parcels traded in and out at lower prices, as the recent change in holder notice indicated, but essentially, these guys aren't locking in a profit, they are just derisking their positions in resource stocks at a time when a few analysts are predicting a market downturn.


their brokers were projecting a shareprice north of $1 not so long ago, so it is easy to appreciate why some of them have had enough, even though we are at a pivotal moment.

and conversely it also illustrates quite clearly that they don't always make the best decisions, imo. funds buying at 36 and selling at 6, not something i'd be putting much weight on.
