Okay we might have a problem.

The proposed TD is at 3,407 m and the well is at 3,382 m. Therefore as there is only 25m to go the well should have already been in the target reservoir zone.

You normal drill at least 50m below base target reservoir to allow for complete wireline logging.

Conclusion.

1, Reservoir not present = bad news.

2, Depth conversion of seismic data incorrect and reservoir slightly lower than predicted = don't give up hope.

Discussion.

ARQ has had depth conversion issues in the Perth Basin even with 3D seismic data so I hoping this is the case here.

At some stages ARQ will have complete drilling this well, plus another 100 or 200m. It all depends on the geology, ie ARQ should know if the straitgraphic section already drilled = target reservoir level or is it deeper.

Some what surprised that ARQ hasn't commented on this. Maybe they are uncertain?
