I don't know about the US market, but the market here is waiting for substantial news. Without it, there will be no new buyers.

People here have spent as much on SSN as they are comfortable doing so, with the view that it is around crunch time now. No doubt others are looking for entry - but only when risk is removed.

The volume shows this - it is drifting lower on low volume. 1 mil traded to move lower - some are selling because of overall market risk, getting stopped out, being nervous or fatigued from waiting.
