I listened to a presentation the Edwards CEO made September 7 and the questions around that valve, like that article also mentions, were around the underwhelming results it had with respect to patients' quality of life and questions clinicians had about those results. With that and the halted new Sapien trial due to problems with the delivery system, Edwards has had some issues recently.
In that Sept call, the CEO made some cryptic comments about new investments they have made both internally and externally that haven't been made public yet. I don't see how that could be us but they are actively investing.
