Don't see that as necessarily concerning .. could be they are meeting to establish some ground rules .. e.g as stated no signs, no demonstrations - keep it civil. Could also be the committee didn't get broadsided by a complaint they don't have answers to.
I didn't get the impression the meeting was for people to show up and present a laundry list of false allegations that the committee would then go and investigate.
