• Ampella Mining appears to have been hit hard by falling gold prices overnight

• The stock has generally been well supported by investors in Australia, the US and the UK and the share price fall probably reflects trading sentiment more than anything

• We take a slightly longer term view than most traders and see the fall as a potential buying opportunity

• While the company is likely to look to raise new funds next year we are reminded of the substantial oversubscription for stock and small discounts at the last three fund raisings.
