    WYL appoints Independent Expert; Target Statement to issue soon

    WYL has engaged Ernst & Young to assist in its defence against Allco Equity Partners' hostile bid for the company. Ernst & Young will prepare the Independent Expert's report on whether the bid is fair and reasonable. This report is expected to be sent to shareholders in early February. Ahead of this document, WYL will mail out its Target Statement on Monday 23 January. The latter statement is expected to contain information on WYL's 1H06 performance.
