    re: boom boom bang! Well from the low to the high the move on futures was in a 140pt range, that is normal.

    As for volume, you can get that on options easy, but I am not sure about the proper futures contracts. I get it when I download data, but not sure about getting it everyday online.

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) does the Dow futures and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) does the S&P futures contracts, suggest hunting around their sites.

    From a technical perspective the volume on the market is what you want to watch not necessarily what the futures turn over was as there is a lot of funny business going on there.
