re: apg and cfd.s Hi Earnie,
I think manipulation by CFD managers is not likely.
CFD managers are like bookies, they take your bet and you gamble with them.
With a large number of clients longing and shorting stocks, their exposure may just be even. From time to time, when the book becomes too skewed, they would buy or sell some in the relevant markets to arrive at the desired risk exposure.
Some CFD companies, like Man Financials (I think), they buy and sell exactly the same quantity as you trade with them so their exposure at any time is zero. They make their money by charging you interest on the money you borrow and commissions.
The situation here with APG does not look like manipulation to me. There are simply not enough buyers to push the share price up.
All the people who believe in the APG story has already loaded up. They may top up a few when the price goes down but they are not likely to rush into the market to drive the price up. If anything, they are more likely waiting to offload their holdings when the price shoots up. A profit is not a profit until you sell unless they pay good dividends.
Without any confirmation from the company backed up by contracts and cash in the bank, all the possible future successes are only hopes.
Let's face it, there are thousands of companies flogging hopes to potential investors, some investors like APG, some like XYZ. You can't expect everyone to share your dream.
We have all been holding APG since Adam was a boy, why so impatient all of a sudden? If there is no good news by the end of the month, I bet APG's share price will start to drift down. It is all normal market action.
There are people out there like your good self who thinks APG is worth 20c+ and there are people out there who thinks APG is worth 1.5c-. When they all interact together and trade, the market price is the result of all the buy and sell forces, so called the market sentiment.
What the share price is saying is that the value of the APG hope is worth 7.6c at the moment. When more information becomes known, the value will change.
