There was a company named PLV (Pluton Resources) listed on the ASX many years ago where the CEO decided to directly post on HC. Sounds enlightening, progressive but sometimes the commentary he provided was information that should have been announced via the ASX not in the HC chat site no matter how trivial it was. My comment was then as it is now if there is any information available it should be made under the continuous disclosure obligation, because there maybe shareholders that do not read HC, they may be inadvertently missing out on valuable information that changes their investment decision. As much as I lauded the attempt to inform and be available for commentary it ended badly for PLV, maybe not because of HC but because of the extra noise created by commentary.
Companies need to be held to account by their official disclosures and not what they or their reps chat about, the chat is a in a way to avoid formal declarations via the ASX to EVERY shareholder!
