My first year investing in the sharemarket I Was just out of university. Had no money apart from a small inheritance after my dad passed away and a low paying job.
Within a few months, I had blown $40G of my inheritance...I was very frustrated...in other words I Was $40G in the red and had little left.
I thought about quitting the stockmarket...luckily I didn't...in the ten years since, I have made many, many times what I lost in that first year.
Don't give up.
And just about every stock on the market has better potential than that piece of rubbish RRS...ffs cant believe the amount of people that are still getting sucked in by that joke of a company.
Ciggy, your quote is Warren Buffet's...another one of his quotes, and my personal favourite is:
"Diversification is for people that don't know what they're doing."
Hence why I have the majority of my portfolio in ERH :-)
By the way, i also like my own quote (see my sig :)...ERH is the needle in the haystack, not just another sultana in a fruitcake.
