Another possibility I thought about re this early seal failure Opaline was the possibility of a slug of some abrasive silt whatever in the new sysytem hitting the pump.
I would imagine there are strainers and devices to catch odd bits of pipe muck and so on under normal operating conditions.

There can easily be odd things lurking in dark corners of even brand new equipments though. Horrible things like abrasive from a grit blasting process or sand from a casting mould and so on.

We may not hear but if that's the case someone will and in spades.
