I know the VLA story well, Bripoz. I was a holder of that stock for many years and came out of it grinning from ear to ear. The SP at the time of the takeover offer from Merck was 60c actually. The SP hit circa $1.29 following the successful Phase 2 trial results before being sold down to 60c (for no known reason... lol). Merck essentially acquired VLA for its solitary immunotherapy drug, Cavatak, for half a billion dollars!
I think you are seriously missing the glaring differences between the two companies... VLA and PTX. To equate a 7 year process for one drug from FDA approval to company takeover is very much out of context with PTX. I suggest you check out all that is currently in the pipeline, in pre-clinical and clinical trials, the patents pending, our OmniCAR platform, the recent conferences attended, the new appointments to our SAB, the cash in the bank, our the broad but synergistic business model PTX has and the calibre of our calibrations!
Sheesh, one can't compare a one-trick pony company like VLA to PTX. They are poles apart. As good as Cavatak is (or was rather) as a drug and as good as it was to me as a holder, I compare them and think the opposite to you, obviously. PTX is next level in terms of corporate strategy and next-gen science. Sorry, but traders love to gloat about their "small winnings" but can easily miss out on the pot of gold when considering PTX has a MCap of about a quarter of VLA with its one drug. Yeah it was a long haul back a few years ago getting drugs to commercialisation. So, I suggest you do yourself a favour and read some of the insightful posts and learn up on "fast-tracking to commercialisation" the Orphan Drug pathway now available. Some research on PTX100 and where we are headed with that will help you out.
I look away to write this reply... low and behold the SP up 7% on no news. Over and out... time to buy some more PTX before this price rise gets away from me!
