From a prior ann, it seems that at least the drilled portion of the system is predominantly sulphides, so maybe the reason for the lack of a magnetic signature is a preponderance of sulphides as you say.

pyrrhotite (magnetic iron sulphide), galena (lead sulphide), arsenopyrite (arsenic sulphide),
chalcopyrite (copper sulphide), stibnite (antimony sulphide) and stannite (tin sulphide). The presence
of cassiterite (tin oxide) was also noted."
