It is so hard to determine what is really going on - as in causes and motives. So Welker and McGlinn worked together to become directors and reposition the company towards the Drummond tenements. Now they are enemies and are trying to destroy each other's influence on X64. McGlinn got rid of Welker as a director and Welker plots revenge and resumption of control (at the Board level).
A company (Medusa) that against the odds continued on, grossly undervalued in terms of its gold activity in the Philippines, in the face of anti-mining politics at the national level, got hijacked (legally of course) and redirected to new ventures but sacrificed the CEO who kept Medusa alive.
Shareholders who saw Medusa as an opportunity for improved market sentiment are now left with a company looking to destroy itself through disunity and without any clear direction at a time of enormous market pressure internationally. So much for any chance of improved sentiment.
X64 directors, led by McGlinn, are acting in a purely self-defensive manner without making any attempt to counteract the arguments from its attackers. By itself, that smells as to what is in the best interests of ordinary shareholders. Without any argument rejecting the "rebels", the Board looks as if it is only acting in its own self-interests rather than those of all shareholders.

Any unbiased narrative on the actions and tensions leading up to this "gunfight" would be most helpful for an ordinary shareholder like myself. @x64action, clearly you cannot provide such a narrative and so best you abstain from comment.
