Not so fast
mce-anchoreta emissions of 32P, 35S, 3H and 14C can be effectively blocked by using 10mm thick optical acrylic, which is now the accepted standard for shielding beta emissions in biological research.'

This is standard delivery as per above. Human organs do not behave like acrylic.

There are two aspects that need to be considered; the penetration length in human tissues, and the length of time for the half life .

As you can see from the charts below the half life of phosphorus is about 6 times more than 90Y. I make no comment as to being worse or better, just an observation.





There is little published data that I can find as to penetration in human tissue, but I'm sure lots exists. From 2002/03 guidelines it states penetration is between 3 and 8 mm.

32p has been used for some medical conditions for over 30 years.

It would be a real winner if there is another treatment available.
